"Relax," he whispered in her ear--shouted, really, but against the rush of wind it sounded faint.
Song opened one eye, then the other. The ground was very far away.
"You're strapped in. You're not going to fall."
She knew that, but--"Promise?"
"Yes!"
Carefully, she peeled her fingers away from their white-knuckled grip around his waist.
"That's the spirit! Ready?"
Without waiting for an answer, he caught an updraft, and they soared.
