Prompt: raising a toast for all they've lost and for all they've won.

The train keeps going, the motion under their feet and silence between them.

Opposite their seat is the reality - a screaming baby and his mother, a wedding ring and tear-streaked face evidence enough of what was left behind. Wan feels Yeo-Kyung tense, and it's all he can do not to scream.

He pulls out a flask - warm whisky, an afterthought he was glad he remembered - and after taking a swig, passes it to her with a lopsided grin he hoped was typical.

"To friends," he mutters against her ear, and with tears in her eyes, she smiles.
